Loon Point Cottage

Had a great weekend there. Very clean and private. Very responsive host. Exactly what we were expecting. Spotless barbecue. The outdoor was awesome although a little noisy but we knew it will be. Inside quiet and clean. Just need to be reminded that bring your own coffee. Multiple coffeemakers but you got to bring your own coffee. Easy access to highway. Will go again if we travel to Santa Barbara.

This place did not disappoint, and it was exactly as described. SUPER spacious and the outside space was beautiful and outrageously comfortable.. We were in the area for a wedding but wish we would have been able to stay more days to enjoy everything the home had to offer!

The home, location and ease of use were exceptional. Nothing like a little game of putt-putt to determine who is cooking breakfast! Quiet neighborhood that is close to everything. Happily recommend (& hoping we have an excuse to stay in Santa Barbara again!).

Port Hueneme 2 Bd, 2BA w/ Ocean View Beach Living

LizaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The Hosts were very helpful. We arrived about 1 hour early & the code didn't work. We could not figure out why. We tried for about 30 min & contacted the Host. They told us to watch the video & try. We did. Tried several more times - nothing. We were VERY frustrated (drove for hours & had dogs). Finally, the Host told us we were "8 min early" from the 4 pm check in & to wait. We were not happy. The Host eventually sent a new code since we tried so many times - it locked us out. Take away: DO NOT ARRIVE/ CHECK IN EARLY. Even if it is a few minutes. We understood the check in time, but it was VERY strict. The parking space was described as being being in the "middle". It is the "middle" BUT it is the first row as you drive in. We had a lot of trouble locating it. Besides all that - the place was very clean, exactly as pictured, neighbors friendly, & the beach was so clean! All the recommended restaurants were very busy, so plan ahead.

Malibu, Carbon Beach - Suite Two

DawnaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I hesitate to give any of the Malibu Suites a perfect rating… Only because I don’t want everyone to jam up the schedule. Haha. This place IS perfect. Every single suite and bungalow. Easy walk to pier (best surfer breakfast), steps away from Nobu (upscale sushi), easy and assigned parking. Super private yet also easily accessible. Always clean and pristine. No problems with uber or uber eats to this location. We don’t even cry at bad weather because just to be in the suite and listen to the tides roll in while cozy in front of the fireplace is such a treat. Honestly, this is my fav. If you are on the fence then book with confidence. Enjoy.

Villa Pine Mountain Cottage Chemical Free

ChristieRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Debra was so kind and gracious as a host, and she did everything she could to help us navigate the community and encouraged us to feel comfortable in her space. In fact, she really made a strong effort to ensure that we were comfortable, from clearing out the pellet stove to ensure it was working properly to having internet that I could take with me as I carried out my activities in PMC. My favorite spot was the little patio in the back, which I loved venturing onto in the morning.

Your guide to Santa Barbara

All About Santa Barbara

Palm-studded Santa Barbara sits on a pristine stretch of California coastline, bringing together the area's Spanish influence, laid-back beach vibe, and upscale sensibility. The city is home to breathtaking nature, inspiring arts and culture, and an incredible variety of food and wine. Known for broad sandy beaches, you can sunbathe or enjoy a breathtaking sunset at East Beach — a favorite located east of State Street, Santa Barbara’s main thoroughfare for boutique shopping and world-class dining. Head over to Leadbetter Beach for surfing, boogie boarding, and paddle boarding.

Outside town, you’ll find an abundance of vineyards and wineries set in the valleys of the Santa Ynez Mountains, and just off the shore is Channel Islands National Park, where you can kayak through caves, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, and hike among wildlife. Sitting at the doorstep of Los Padres National Forest, the nearby Romero Canyon Trailhead offers great opportunities for further hiking or mountain biking. Back in town, history buffs can explore the city’s Spanish heritage at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History or the Santa Barbara Historical Museum before refueling at one of the city’s many dining options, from harbor-side classics, stylish hot spots, and cozy State Street cafes.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Santa Barbara

Those looking for a classic beach vacation will want to come during the summer months, as July and August are when the sun and water are their warmest for swimming and sunbathing. The shoulder seasons — March to May and September to November — are also great times to visit. The weather is still warm, and Santa Barbara vacation home rentals are easier to find. Winters are chilly and wet — December through February sees the most rainfall — but you will be able to enjoy the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in January, along with the buzz of Restaurant Week. No matter what time of year you visit, be sure to pack layers as morning and late evening temperatures tend to be cooler.

Santa Barbara Scenic Drive

Hop in your car and explore the riotous colors and classic California scenery of Santa Barbara on this self-guided tour. The Santa Barbara Scenic Drive covers 25 miles of immaculate shoreline beneath the towering Santa Ynez Mountains and through palm-lined roads. The drive itself only takes about one hour, but give yourself half a day to explore the city from Santa Barbara Harbor and marvel at the spectacular mansions in Montecito.

Old Mission Santa Barbara

Step back in time for a glimpse into Santa Barbara’s origins when you visit this California mission. The mission now hosts a museum featuring artifacts of the time and early photographs of the area. Explore the mission grounds, spanning 13 acres, on a leisurely self-guided tour. Don’t miss La Huerta, a garden showcasing flora dating back to the mission's early years.

The Funk Zone

It’s all about the art in the Funk Zone.
