3BD Steps to the Beach, on 25th St

RoshelleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house was a perfect set up: upstairs for the adults and downstairs for the teens. They enjoyed the walkable area and various restaurants and shops. It gave them an opportunity to experience independence. We were so close to the beach that it was unnecessary to pack a picnic basket or cooler. We will definitely stay here again!

Keeping It Beachy

ChrisRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Victoria’s place was great. The area was quiet, safe, and has plenty of street parking. There was also an abundance of easily accessible beaches, grocery stores, and restaurants nearby. All the amenities listed were available to us, and Victoria was herself was friendly and communicative. Checking in and out was a breeze. Highly recommended!

Chip’s place was just what I needed for a visit home when my place wasn’t available. The full kitchen was great for the week. Comfy bed. Great AC and fans kept the place cool even in the heatwave. Wifi and workspaces made it handy to do remote work.

We love the location. Very close to Disney shopping restaurants. A very safe neighborhood. Everything was as expected, except for the ceiling fans. This might not be an issue for you. But I’m in menopause and part of the reason I picked this location was because in the pictures every room had ceiling fans. But they no longer have ceiling fans just so you know . I brought a tower fan luckily so I was ok. This Airbnb has the thermostat that changes itself. I hate those I would like to set it and forget it the whole time I’m there, but this is something that a lot of Airbnb are adding that are a big pain in the butt. I would like to mention that this Airbnb does cool down very quickly, so don’t worry when you get back and have to set it. It will cool off very quickly. Only issue was they didn’t even have salt and pepper. Which obviously is not a huge issue just mentioning if you decide to stay here which I would suggest it’s a great Airbnb. Just bring your own.

Modern Malibu Ocean View 1 bedroom

DrewRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Katherine was a great host. Very friendly and even dropped off wine and coffee for us. As far as the Airbnb itself goes, my girlfriend and I agreed that this was probably the nicest place we had stayed at before. The view is great and I believe the kitchen is updated since the photos. It was perfect for the two of us.

Charming Two Bd Sunny Santa Monica

GiaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Sydny's apartment was just what we were looking for. It's in an excellent location in Santa Monica. Walkable to all restaurants, shops and the beach. It was IMMACULATE and the extra touches provided (a box with toothbrushes and toothpaste, sunscreen, face wipes... in case you forgot anything) was delightful. I was having a hard time downloading the app necessary for entry into the apartment so Sydney got there ahead of me and made it super simple. She even dropped off even more goodies like bottled water and extra toilet paper so we wouldn't need to run out for anything. And she bought brand new beach towels for us to use! So sweet and thoughtful. If you do need to get things, there are several stores nearby so you don't have to go far to get essentials. There are also many many great restaurants in the area so you don't need to cook if you don't want to. And the beach is an easy walk as are bike and scooter rentals. If you are looking for a great place to stay in SM, this is it!

2 Bedroom Newly Remodeled Modern Apartment

SimonaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Mieko gave us the precise directions. The apartment is as pictured I don't like apartments with many frills, this was perfect I have to say that dishwasher, washing machine and dryer were the best! Impeccably clean ! I wasn't crazy about pillows, but just because we're used to different pillows Very comfortable parking and a supermarket next door that could be reached on foot Mieko writes in the features that it may not be quiet due to road noise, but I have to say that it is not so noisy, in fact! We recommend and congratulations Mieko!

Cozy Beach Bungalow Apt - 2BD/1BA

Rating, 5 stars1 month ago
This flat is on the first floor in a wonderful community(I like the fire in the center of M beach). Neighbors are very friendly, Robert is so nice, warmhearted, take us walk around and give us a parking permit. The restaurants he recommended were delicious. The equipments in his home are all useful. It’s comfortable to sit in sofa when you wander all day in LA. The beautiful pier is just nearby, walk-distance. The circumstance of M beach is quiet, peaceful, relaxing, with sun-shining days and endless blue sea. Strongly recommend!

Your guide to Los Angeles

Introduction

Los Angeles is the ultimate insider's city, as first-time visitors quickly discover. The sprawl of strip malls and apartment buildings can seem anonymous and daunting until you consult friends or online guides who can direct you to the city’s electric cultural and artistic life. Los Angeles’s racial and ethnic diversity make it one of the most exciting culinary destinations in America, whether your appetite leads you to Korean, regional Mexican, or Persian food. One day may bring you to Venice Beach or the Santa Monica Pier for a stroll, and the next day on a strenuous hike in Topanga Canyon. Downtown Los Angeles’s art museums attract global attention for their forward-thinking collections. You can also spend several days walking — yes, walking — around Silver Lake or Beverly Hills, dipping into boutiques and stopping at cafes.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Los Angeles

Idyllic weather is one of the reasons Los Angeles became the film industry capital, and you can count on heat and sun for most of the year when you’re on vacation here. There’s a reason so many Angelenos wear sunglasses and carry water bottles.

After a hazy month of June (the locals call it “June Gloom”), LA’s hot season lasts between July and late September, when the average daytime temperatures are in the 80s Fahrenheit. Spring and fall deliver weather that is slightly cooler, but still pleasant enough for short sleeves and light clothing. December through February is the rainy season, when the lows can dip into the 40s. Your consolation is seeing the city’s gold hills turn bright green.

Top things to do in Los Angeles

Griffith Park

Los Angeles’s biggest park is more of a district, with more than 4,000 acres of trails, attractions, and serene picnic spots. You can wander around the famous Griffith Observatory, the backdrop to dozens of famous movie scenes, or bring your children to the historic Merry-Go-Round carousel. The western edge of the park includes several steep trails climbing to the Hollywood Sign.

Hollywood Walk of Fame

You’re more likely to see a celebrity at some vegan cafe in Silver Lake than here, but the frayed glamour of Hollywood and the Sunset Strip still exerts its charm. Check the schedule to see if the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre is offering tours and screenings, or wander along Hollywood Boulevard, looking down to see whose famous handprints are pressed into the concrete.

The Getty Center

Half of the reason people take the tram up to the Getty is for the museum’s art collections, which favor Greek and Roman statues and European paintings from the medieval era through the 19th century. The other is the setting: You can spend an hour or two meandering through the cultivated gardens, admiring a landscape that stretches to every horizon.
