Huge modern home close to everything.

Paul is a one in a million host, he was always keeping me up to date and checking in. We had staff stay in the house whilst they were at work and they couldn't praise it enough. The amenities within the house and the small touches on arrival were greatly appreciated. Thank you again Paul, the boys are excited for their return.

What an amazing property! Incredibly spacious, conveniently equiped with everything you need to be comfortable. The location is magnificent - n easy walk to the beach and the centre of Byron but without any of the noise. The hosts were friendly, proactive and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend this stay to anyone wanting a wow experience or, like we wanted, a place to relax and refresh. We had a wonderful stay!

Duck Creek Retreat(Ballina/Byron GW)

BelindaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house was amazing and exactly like the photos - if not better. It felt like we were in a resort with the beautiful pool and Bali-style features. The house had every modern convenience you could need, with personal touches of milk, tea, coffee pods, choccies, and fruit. The house was clean and beautifully laid out and decorated, and the couch and beds were really comfy. Luke was a great and communicative host - I loved the house handbook with recommendations of places to eat. We will definitely be back!

The Cabin

TanyaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Kerri was fantastic with communication, was so helpful with information & a has very friendly approach. The bungalow was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable & felt fresh. We had the most restful 3 days here looking out at the trees, listening to bird sounds while swinging in the egg chair on veranda. Kerri has thought about everything from milk, butter & condiments in fridge, air freshener in toilet ( only place we have stayed that has this ), cling wrap, foil, baking paper & zip lock bags in draw & everything else in between. Kerri has gone over & beyond to make her guests comfortable, satisfied & welcomed. We certainly felt it all . Thank u Kerri We definitely will be back

Villa Serenity: 6BR Casuarina Beach Home w/ Pool

TracyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
As a large family the house was located right next to beach with the sound of the ocean through the trees. So peaceful and just a short stroll to the beach and sand. Everyone enjoyed the house with great bedrooms and a private retreat to escape when needed. The grandchildren loved the pool and being right next to the park so they could play footy too. The house was fully equipped with everything you could need. Everyone enjoyed the games room and playing pool and some board games. It is a very short walk to local coffee shop. Some of the family rode push bikes in to Kingscliff along the path. The house was perfect for our holiday as we loved relaxing with a fishing rod, swimming, building sand castles and quiet time with a good book. It suited what our family needed and is great for a large group with all the facilities. Our time spent wasn’t long enough and we would love to visit again. Thank you for hosting us! Tracy and family

Pottsville Luxury Villa - Privacy Luxury Comfort

JessRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Shane’s Airbnb was wonderful, and Shane herself so so lovely. I unfortunately fell down some stairs on day 2 of my trip and Shane was beyond kind and helpful. Would highly recommend Shane’s place, impeccably clean neat and tidy, with exclusive use of the pool. Pottsville itself is a gorgeous little town and no further than 30 mins from all the places I wanted to visit (Byron etc). Would most definitely recommend 10/10!!

We loved our stay at Bogangar at Tamara’s place. The accommodation was perfect for us (2 adults, 3 kids and 1 dog) to use as a base to explore the surrounding beaches, etc. The house had everything we needed and Tamara was a great host with great communication. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Your guide to Byron Bay

All About Byron Bay

Located in the northern reaches of New South Wales along Australia’s easternmost shores, Byron Bay is known for its sparkling blue waters, golden sand, and monster surf breaks. This coastal community has long been a destination for wave riders and, in the 1960s, people looking to explore alternative ways of living. Today, the area is more developed and attracts everyone from celebrities to families with its laid-back vibe and world-famous beaches. It’s also a popular weekend getaway for Brisbanites, who make the two-hour drive south. Explore miles of shoreline with dolphins frolicking off the coast or hike inland in the Whian Whian State Conservation Area with its tranquil waterfalls, towering cliffs, and dense forests. Back in town, the palm-lined streets host a weekly farmers market with local produce, regional coffee, and ready-to-eat meals.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Byron Bay

Keep in mind that seasonal weather patterns in the Southern Hemisphere are opposite those in North America. The warm summer months range from December through February, while the winters begin in June and run to August. However, subtropical weather patterns and seasonal variations in Byron Bay are incredibly mild, with warm, pleasant conditions for most of the year. Even at the height of winter, temperatures remain warm during the day — though they sometimes get brisk at night, so you’ll want to pack a few layers if visiting during this time. Rain is also a constant in the area — don't forget a light, waterproof shell — with the driest months coming in the winter and a moderate increase in precipitation during the summer. With the town attracting such a wide array of travelers and their varied interests, there are a plethora of festivals throughout the year, ranging from a music festival in April to the Latin Fiesta and surf festivals in February.

Top things to do in Byron Bay

Tyagarah Nature Reserve

Rare and endangered ecologies ranging from inland rainforest floodplains to coastal saltmarshes and several miles of vast, golden beaches run through the Tyagarah Reserve. Located just a few minutes north of Byron Bay, this easily accessible park has several options for swimming, water sports, and hiking. Keep your eyes peeled for eagles, ospreys, and wallabies in the dense tropical forests.

Cape Byron Lighthouse

Sitting on the easternmost prominence of the Australian continent, Byron Bay Lighthouse is more than 100 years old, and classified as a maritime heritage site. Take a ranger-guided walk of the grounds, check out the on-site museum, and climb the tower for some of eastern Australia's most spectacular ocean vistas.

Belongil Beach

One of the lesser-known strips of sand near Byron Bay, this 1.5-mile long beach has plenty of room for spreading out and taking in the sun. Its long easy breaks make this a popular attraction for surfers who want to get away from the busier beaches. Locals refer to the area as the Wreck, named for the half-submerged ship sunk off the coast that’s visible from shore. The wreck site is also a popular diving and snorkeling spot.
