Professor, curator & former musician, Joy is a pioneer in the field of Mother Studies & the founder of a M/others art movement since 1997. A former MTV musician who has performed across the country with her band Housewives On Prozac, Joy went on to found the MaMaPaLooZa Festival (2002). She graduated CUNY, The Graduate Center with a Master's in women & mother studies, founding the Museum of Motherhood in 2003, NYC. In 2019, she brought MoM to St Pete inspired by the vibrant culture & arts scene.

Bring your curiosity & sense of adventure! Infants are welcome in the Escape Womb as well as children 12 and up. We have a FREE and fun indoor playspace for toddlers but someone from your group will have to hang back & supervise!
