Your Home with Love

RonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Ms. Ana has been the most awesome host we have ever had at any Airbnb, she really went out of the way to make sure we had everythingh to make us feel at home. Truly out of the ordinary. Ms Ana made sure of every detail was covered, from local restaurants to happenings around town, and cool places to visit, staying at "Casa con Amor" is most definitly more than worth it. Thank you Ms Ana we will certainly stay again next time we visit San Salvador.

Casa Martha

CristinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My family and I had a great time at Casa Martha. The house is clean and organized. Furniture is well maintained and clean. The beds are comfortable to sleep in. Bathrooms are clean and in good condition. The ceiling fans and air conditioning work great and really help keep the bedrooms cool. There are ceiling fans and regular fans downstairs to keep the first floor cool. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals and everything was easy to find. The appliances are clean and ready to use. The backyard is beautiful with plants and greenery. The pool was clean and was so fun to use. It is also maintenanced weekly. Since the house is in a gated community, the area is very quiet and safe. There is a guard overlooking the community entrance day and night. No traffic/street noise heard at all. There is a plaza nearby with good restaurants/cafes and is easy to walk to. Gertrudis responded in a timely manner to any concerns/questions and provided friendly customer service.

Casa Alta Xanadu, La Libertad, El Salvador

TrulsRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This is a great place, with a beautiful location up on the top of the cliff, just as described, with a great pool area, with the thatched roof. We had a great stay as a family, with our college-age daughters. Very relaxing! There are a number of good restaurants nearby, along the main road. The private rock pool at the bottom of the cliffs was really nice, and there are good steps all the way down. The gated community also includes a good size beach and a larger swimming pool. This park area is also nice, and the ocean is nice and warm, but the surf was too rough for swimming, and the sand is dark, so it gets really hot in the middle of the day. Best to enjoy the pool area at the house, with the beautiful view out over the Pacific, and beautiful sunsets over the cliffs. It was an easy drive to San Salvador to see the sights, and we also did a trip to see the Mayan ruins at San Andres, and the volcanoes at Cerro Verde national park (easy side trips with a rental car).

Absolute Ocean Front- Studio Loft. Surf City

NachoRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Paradise (for surfers specially). I spent two months here and felt right at home. The house is super comfortable and peaceful, going to sleep while hearing the Pacific in the back does not have a price. You have surf breaks both at walking and driving distance within minutes. I loved being right on the beach, having natural light all day long, fresh coconuts, visits from cute animals (dogs, cats, squirrels), the people in general and the hosts in particular. Monty was hands on with any requests and the kind family that take care of the property are always available to help out with anything. A well cared home in a still somehow wild virgin beach that one day might be crowded. Seize the opportunity while you can.

Luxury Beach House w/ Ocean Views & Private Beach

SandraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I truly loved this place. As a Salvadoran it met all of my expectations while vacationing here. From views, to convenience, to location it was a place that only being there in person does it justice! I’ve traveled all of El Salvador and staying in this private community and being able to enjoy the sunrise and sunset with a beautiful view by the pool was by far top notch. One of my favorite restaurants was walking distance and being able to enjoy the close desserts shops, surf city, and the super selectos (grocery store), was icing on the cake! Sergio and Wendy were great hosts and know how to make a guest feel special.

Loft in the heart of El Sunzal

Amazing Stay - Highly Recommend I had an excellent stay at Lissett's beautiful Oasis. My stay was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything I needed. She was proactive, flexible check-in, provided excellent recommendations, and always made sure my stay was spectacular. In addition, she even had her cleaning lady arrange for my laundry to be done before my trip ended, which I was grateful for. The location was perfect walkable distance to the beach around 10-15 minutes away. Less than a 5 minute walk is a beautiful brewery (Cadejo Brewery) that has an infinity pool with breathtaking views of the ocean. I was near El Sunzal and a short UBER ride to El Tunco beach. To load up on essentials, I recommend to take a short UBER ride to a plaza called El Encuentro in La Libertad to either Super Selectos or Dollar City where I bought water/personal essentials. Book Lissett with confidence and piece of mind. I can't wait to book again. Thank you =).

Your guide to San Salvador

All About San Salvador

Located in the heart of El Salvador, San Salvador is the Central American country’s colorful, bustling capital. Its streets pulse with energy, and its creativity manifests itself in upscale galleries and street art alike. The commercial strips of Paseo General Escalón and Avenida Masferrer are lined with boutiques and cafes, some of which sell coffee grown not far away. Warrens of stalls in the bustling San Miguel Market and Mercado Central sell an enormous selection of handmade goods, local produce, and pupusas — El Salvador’s iconic street food, fat corn cakes stuffed with fillings such as cheese and pork.

If San Salvador is your base for exploring the country, not too far outside the city, you’ll find pristine black-sand beaches, dozens of active volcanoes that can be hiked when conditions are right, impressive Mayan ruins, and hundreds of thousands of acres of pristine rainforest.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in San Salvador

Temperatures in El Salvador remain quite warm year-round, with the hottest days in February, March, and April. The best time of year to rent your San Salvador apartment is from November to April, the dry season, as the country sees the most sunshine and the littlest rainfall. The rainy season occurs between May and October, when there are typically afternoon storms, but you’re still likely to see several hours of sunshine each day. Visit in spring to take part in Semana Santa, or Holy Week, celebrated the week leading up to Easter with food, festivals, and parades. The Festival of Flowers and Palms is held on the first Sunday of May in Panchimalco, a small town near San Salvador. This event welcomes the rainy season with prayers for a good harvest. Fiesta Julias happens in July in Santa Ana to celebrate the city’s patron saint.

Parque Nacional El Boquerón

Located less than an hour from San Salvador’s historic center, El Boquerón National Park rests atop San Salvador Volcano, also known as Quezaltepeque. Here you can trek through a cloud forest a mile above sea level or peer down into a crater almost a mile in circumference and one-third of a mile deep. There are trails for hikers of every skill level leading to lookout points where you can picnic with spectacular views.

Downtown San Salvador

San Salvador’s downtown, one of the most important historic zones in the country, has over 400 buildings that are more than a century old. Around the Plaza Gerardo Barrios in San Salvador are some of the most symbolic buildings in the country, such as the National Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the National Theater. You can also compare the 16th-century San Salvador National Cathedral to the Iglesia El Rosario, whose modern arched roof and stained-glass windows cast a rainbow across the altar.

Mayan Ruins

To the north and west of San Salvador you can visit several spectacular Mayan ruins. About 90 minutes west of San Salvador is El Tazumal; dating back to the eighth century, it is the best-preserved pre-Columbian Mayan ruin in the country. Slightly closer, Joya de Ceren, sometimes called the Pompeii of the New World, is a UNESCO World Heritage site preserved for centuries beneath layers of volcanic ash from the Loma Caldera Volcano eruption. Its citizens thrived during the Mayan Classic period (250-900 A.D.). At Cihuatan, just over an hour north of San Salvador, you can see the remains of pyramids, ball courts, palaces, and other buildings dating to the eighth or ninth centuries.
