Four-story villa, garden with pool and barbecue
Brilliant house in Madrid. Really close to the airport but really quiet at the same time. The house was spacious and clean and had a great garden to spend some time in. Raquel was very responsive and helpful and in constant contact to make sure all was well. Highly recommended!

Rooms in a large luxury villa near Madrid
Very responsive host and a large, beautiful house! Love the design. Surely do come with a car because it is at a quiet suburb quite a distance from city centre. But, good thing that there are restaurants and supermarkets within reach of a short drive. We also went to Masha’s recommended breakfast place- the churros were great!

Desert Room
I felt at home from the moment I arrived, both Belén, Alba and their dear mother Meritxell...wonderful The cleaning boy is really hardworking and polite... I went for exams at the European University of Madrid and if I had to go back, this would be the place

Very beautiful house, beautifully decorated, very well-equipped and in a good location. Very nice pool and well-stocked terraces. Discreet, very responsive and pleasant host. Once again, thank you for everything.

Amazing Villa only 20 minutes from Madrid
A beautiful house with great modern design features. As a large family we felt very at home and the house had everything we needed for our holiday to run smoothly. The pool was fab. Gemma was really attentive and answered queries very quickly. Only a 30 min drive from Madrid, water park and very close to local towns for bars and eating out. You definitely need a car!

We absolutely loved our stay at Javier’s place! The location is great! 5 minute walk to Plaza Mayor and located next to tons of restaurants! The apartment was perfect for 3 people. It was clean and spacious! Javier is a wonderful host!

Flying over the rooftops of the old town
We could not have picked a better place with a better host. The space was exactly how it was in the picture and absolutely perfect for us. The location was wonderful and the instructions were easy as well! Pablo was an amazing host that provided lots of recommendations and was quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely be back! Thank you Pablo!

Irina's apartment was magical! So beautiful, thoughtfully and personally decorated, and one of the cleanest Airbnb's I've ever stayed in. Can't recommend the place enough for your stay in Madrid.

Elegant Apartment in Palacio Latina
very clean home and quiet neighborhood, friendly and responsive host, great location, it's walkable, and easy access to metro or bus stations. The building has historical significance and therefore does not have an elevator, very useful and considerable amenities like a straightener, and clean dishes

Wonderful location (and host) facing Plaza Mayor. The apt is beautiful and well appointed! We were able to walk the entire city from this location! Thanks Rafael, see you next time!!!

Apartment in Madrid
Concha was super helpful with any questions that came up before and during our visit. Very good and friendly communication and always responded very quickly. Very flexible regarding check-in and check-out times. The apartment is very comfortable, quiet and very clean. We are very likely to visit again in the future!

house-hotel
Dream accommodation, a beautiful house with beautiful amenities, a very safe neighborhood, good restaurants in the area and the subway a few blocks away

Magic Cactus
We stay in this apartment for 11 days and it seemed like a super apartment/casita. In the Tetuán neighborhood with all the services by hand and direct transport to the center and points of interest of Madrid. Flora and her son are super friendly, flexible with your needs and they will move for anything you need also always with a smile and heart. Regarding the apartment it is very well equipped, everything you need in the kitchen as if it were your house. A small but super functional bathroom and a fairly good shower with pressure, good hot water and different water exit modes. It has a very practical patio and very comfortable to enjoy the sun, tend clothes, eat outside ... It has a large closet and everything you need to hang clothes, ironing, cleaning, towels and sheets to spare... Spacious living room with different very comfortable seats. You won't get cold or hot thanks to the heating you can manage yourself. We recommend it to 100%

apartment 3 rooms
Luis' place was very well equipped, clean, spacious, in a quiet environment with a small children's playground at the bottom of the building. The nearest metro station and shops are a 5-minute walk away. Communication with Luis was very easy and fast. Only small downside: the insulation in the bathroom (poorly insulated window). Thank you for the stay in Madrid: the whole family enjoyed it.

Luxury loft in the heart of Madrid.
Federico is an excellent host, he let us check in early since our flight arrived at dawn, the apartment is exactly as in the photos, very comfortable and spacious, I totally recommend it, it is super well located, you have several restaurants and shops that you can walk to easily, right in front of the Retiro park, we spent a few delicious days, thank you Federico, we hope to return soon!!🤩

Your guide to Madrid
Welcome to Madrid
Spain’s capital city is an exciting meld of the old and new. Madrid’s streets teem with stately palaces, ornate Belle Époque buildings, and modern architecture, and its skyline is spiky with soaring slate spires. This is also a place that celebrates its abundant open spaces. The River Manzanares, which slices through the city, is crisscrossed by arched bridges and lined with walking paths and green spaces such as the modern Madrid Río Park, a landscaped stretch of riverbank activated with playgrounds, performance spaces, and the Arganzuela Bridge, which looks like an enormous metal spring.
In the evening Madrid’s vibrant nightlife awakens, as revelers flock to bars, clubs, and restaurants that stay open until the morning hours. Thanks to those privileged royals of yore, the city is a marquee arts destination, studded with world-class museums and galleries that still benefit from the largess of rulers who supported famous artists. Madrid’s artistic reputation is only rivaled by its gastronomic one — the food here, from traditional tapas to reservations-required upscale dining, is reliably excellent.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Madrid
Late spring and early summer are prime seasons in Madrid, when temperatures are warm but not scorching, and open-air markets, sidewalk cafes, and plazas hum with activity. Summers are hot and dry, and autumns mild. Winters are cold, although snow is infrequent. In the middle of May, the city comes together for an annual weeklong celebration of the city’s patron saint, Isidor the Laborer, with street festivals, dancing, and feasting. The city’s LGBTQ+ Pride event in June has grown to be one of Madrid’s marquee celebrations, and crowds flow into the city for days of festivities.
Top things to do in Madrid
Museo del Prado
Housed in a circa-1785 palace (with some modern additions) the Museo del Prado is home to more than 7,000 paintings. Its vast collection includes works by only-last-name-needed artists such as Goya, Velázquez, and El Greco. It’s within walking distance of two other heavyweight art museums, the contemporary Museo Reina Sofía — home to Picasso’s Guernica — and the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, which showcases works by European masters.
Parque del Buen Retiro
This 17th-century park is studded with ornate marble buildings, a placid boating lake, and shade trees. Some of its unique features include what is believed to be the oldest tree in Madrid — a 400-year-old Mexican conifer — and the Palacio de Cristal, a glass and iron greenhouse repurposed as a modern art gallery.
Metro Museums
As you zip around the city, take a moment to explore some of the unique displays within the transit system. The Ópera station houses an archeological museum showcasing 16th- and 17th-century artifacts unearthed during construction. A paleontology exhibit in the Carpetana station displays the fossils of prehistoric animals; the Chamberí station, which opened in 1919, is now closed to trains but open to visitors, and retains its original billboards and other period details.
