The Blue Barracuda Beach Cabana. Sleeps 6 w/ Pool.

HoneyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The home is just like the pictures. The community is quiet and within a few miles of the local beaches. The book left by the owner has a lot of information in it about local eats and entertainment. There is a community pool if beaches are not for you. There are areas to fish if you like to do that. The local restaurants are worth trying. Go to Port Aransas and they have a lot of local shops along with a candy store (with lots to find). The home has plenty of places to sleep. There is a nice patio to sit and relax on. The kitchen has plenty of items to use for cooking and baking. Would highly recommend this place.

This is our second home. We love it and will always choose to stay here if it’s available. Gary is also the best host—very communicative and helpful. For inshore fisherman, this house can’t be beat for its location and amenities. Looking forward to our next stay!

We have a Laguna style heated pool child friendly

VeronicaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The townhouse is about 4 minutes away from the beach. The pool was our favorite! It was great to have a pool for kids & then a regular pool. The house is setup for comfort! It’s a great home away from home. The beds were super comfy & the kitchen is well appointed. It was a bit hot in the house & I let Rhonda know. Great location & great hostess. We’d love to come back again! You’ll love this house!! This is definitely a 5 star home.

Casa Christi 1, 5 min walk to beach! See reviews.

MattieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place is amazing. It has everything you need. Seriously. I felt right at home and not like I was at a rental. There was soft blankets on the couch to cuddle up with. Good quality toilet paper, paper towels and nice soaps. Bedding, towels and beds were all very nice and good quality. Couch is great too. They did not cheap out on anything and that's really nice. The beach is a quick 3min drive and you can park right on the beach and hang out. They have beach chairs and a wagon for your use as well. We will absolutely be back. Gilbert and his wife have gone above and beyond. Thank you guys.

Coastal Distancing | Beachfront, pools, boardwalk

We had no problems, so there was no need to contact Courtney when we were there. The actual condo was good, but the complex outside grounds could use major updating. Slow time of the year, but never a problem parking a large pickup. Thank you!

Beachfront Dream Condo & Heated Pool!

Monica ThyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place was so wonderful! My family loves being right by the water and the heated pool was amazing, my toddler didn’t want to leave. The place was exactly as pictured. The water was right outside the patio area and just walk down and you’re there. The instructions was very clear and easy to follow. Google maps will tell you to make a left but it’s wrong, but you can see Island house on right side so that’s where you’ll turn in. Overall, would book again in future.

Bayside Bungalow

BrandiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Michelle's place is perfectly located for exploring Corpus Christi - everything is close: restaurants, the aquarium and the USS Lexington and more. There is a beach within reasonable walking distance, if you're a walker and less than 5 minutes if you drive. Added bonus, it only takes about a 30 minute drive to find more open beaches. I definitely recommend and will choose Michelle's place when returning to Corpus Christi.

Your guide to Corpus Christi

All About Corpus Christi

Set on the Gulf of Mexico, Corpus Christi is best known as a beach vacation destination, and for good reason — there are nine beautiful beaches here and plenty of opportunities to swim, kayak, paddleboard, and sail. Adrenaline junkies come for the world-class windsurfing at gulfside beaches like Whitecap.

But Corpus Christi also offers all the convenience and culture of an urban getaway — it’s the largest seaside city in Texas, after all. Stroll through the buzzy downtown areas, and you’ll find trendy restaurants, bars, and boutiques housed in restored historic buildings. During the summer, escape the heat or spend a rainy afternoon at one of the city’s many museums. There are water parks and botanical gardens around town as well, and Corpus Christi’s central location makes it a great home base for exploring other parts of the coast. At the end of the day, be sure to pause to enjoy the sunset — they’re particularly stunning here.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Corpus Christi

Summers in Corpus Christi are hot and humid, with temperatures of around 95 degrees Fahrenheit that sometimes climb into triple digits. But you should pack sunscreen and a hat any time of year. In the mild, warm winters, daytime temperatures are usually in the high 70s Fahrenheit, though nighttime temperatures dip to around 50 degrees during the coldest months.

Along the subtropical Texas Gulf Coast, the wet season lasts from April to October, with a risk of hurricanes in late summer, so you can expect a rainy afternoon or two if you’re visiting during peak season. And hold on to that hat you packed — Corpus has one of the highest wind speeds of coastal cities in North America. If you would rather avoid the gusts, visit between mid-July and mid-October when the winds are calmest.

Top things to do in Corpus Christi

Padre Island National Seashore

Just a 45-minute drive southeast of the city, Padre Island National Seashore encompasses 130,000 acres of rolling dunes, prairies, mudflats, and beaches. A paved road runs partway down this barrier island, but beyond that, you’ll need a high-clearance, four-wheel-drive vehicle to reach the more remote parts of the park.

USS Lexington

A retired aircraft carrier, the USS Lexington serves as a museum and education center. Tour the ship’s many decks, including the flight deck, which features 20 aircraft from the National Museum of Naval Aviation. There’s also a Pearl Harbor exhibit, a flight simulator, virtual battle stations, and an escape room.

Selena Memorial

The beloved Tejano singer is memorialized in a Corpus Christi museum built by her family and in a life-sized bronze sculpture located on the Corpus Christi Bayfront Seawall. Her music is broadcast from the outdoor memorial, which has been named Mirador de la Flor, or Overlook of the Flower.
