Nestled on a serene ridge, our hotel style studio is meticulously decorated with a serene theme, invoking a sense of adventure. See stars at night and eagles soaring during the day.
The entrance to the suite is private. Step inside to find a thoughtfully designed interior featuring:
Bedroom
Large windows to fully enjoy the views. A comfortable king-sized bed with environmentally friendly organic cotton bedding, perfect for a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring. Black out curtains for a deep night's sleep. If you're up at sunset, open the curtains and let the sun stream in.
Lounging Area
Much like a hotel room, you will find the seating area in the same room and you can enjoy a 2 person leather loveseat, smartTV, complemented by decor inspired by global travels, creating a relaxing ambiance.
Tea & Coffee
You will find your hotel-style studio room equipped with essential appliances and utensils (cutlery, plates, glasses), allowing you to prepare your nespress/keurig / tea while enjoying the stunning views from the window.
Fridge, Microwave & Toaster
Enjoy the use of your own private appliances to keep things cold or re-heat.
Dry Bar
Our bar area is stocked with wine glasses, mugs, and other essentials for your convenience.
BBQ
Private BBQ on your back patio, enjoy your meal overlooking the mountain views from your 2 person bistro table on your private deck. Eagles have been known to fly right by at eye level.
Bathroom
A luxurious bathroom with heated floors, a large soaker bathtub over looking the valley, 2 rain-showers, double sink, and water closet. Bathroom essential provide: hairdryer, towels, shampoo/conditioner and body wash.
Outdoor Space
One of the highlights of the property is the covered, fenced in outdoor deck, offering 180-degree views of majestic mountains and lush forests. Whether you're savoring a morning coffee or stargazing at night, the deck provides the perfect safe, vantage point for nature's beauty.
On the front deck, you'll be able to enjoy the adarondak chairs and cosy up around the wood burning fire pit and small table to enjoy any boardgames you might bring. Remember we are surrounded by nature, and wild animals may be present so bring in your food and drinks!
Pets
One small dog up to 60lbs are welcome. Feel free to bring their beds and make them feel at home. The pet fee is $150.
Parking
One allocated space is available for guest to park. Friends and family are welcome to visit during the day, just let us know and we'll provide the details as to where your visitors can park.
Road/Drive-way
As you approach our property, you will see a Private Road sign, continue up the paved hill, once at the top of the hill take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking views of the ocean. The entrance to our drive is up a gravel hill, continue to the top, where we have a private, paved parking lot.

The home owners reside in the main part of the house. The studio room is separate from the house and has a private entrance so guests will not hear the owners. In the event you see the owners on the property, they are friendly and helpful, and are happy to assist in any way. They strive to give guest privacy during their stay.

As you settle into your stay here on the island, you might notice something special after the sun goes down: the sound of the wind. Island life brings a rhythm of its own, and the wind is part of that music. On some nights, it whispers gently through the trees, and on others, it can feel a little louder and more dramatic—especially in the quiet of night when everything else has gone still. Please know this is totally normal here. It’s part of what makes the island wild and beautiful The winds often pick up at night, especially during seasonal shifts or just before a change in weather. The house is solid and safe, but you may hear creaks or swaying trees, like nature’s lullaby playing just outside your window. If you're a light sleeper, we’ve provided some earplugs in the bathroom drawer, just in case you want extra quiet. Or you might find it relaxing—many guests say the sound helps them drift off peacefully, like sleeping in a cozy cabin. Feel free to reach out if you have any concerns. And most of all—enjoy the magic of this place. Even the wind has a story to tell.
Local Attractions: Many hiking and walking trails, swimming lakes, beaches and parks, golf courses, and so much more. Guests will enter the studio room through a private entrance. Guest will access the key from a lock box.

Guest access
Guests have access to the suite through a private entrance. The suite includes:
Inside: bedroom, bathroom, laundry, coffee/tea, love-seat & TV.
Outside: A private, covered, back patio deck with bistro table overlooking MT Benson. Access to front deck, with fire pit and adirondack chairs overlooking Nanaimo, the mountains, a nearby lake, and the ocean. The front deck is separate from the owners area by wood planters with pine trees.
We have a Tesla EV charger, which upon request can be used for a fee depending on how long the charge. Please message privately for details.
Other things to note
NOTE: the king bed is called a "split king; a king bed made of two Twin Long mattresses.
The studio room is a large executive style master bedroom that has been converted into a private studio room that resembles a high end hotel room.
The room has vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and a spacious layout.
In the past, cats had access to the studio room. This may be a hindrance to guest with allergies.
The dry bar does not include a sink to wash dishes or prepare meals.
The road to the house is paved, the driveway is gravel.
