The Shack is a fluid, light-filled space designed for coastal dwelling. Rustically furnished as a surf retreat and fitted with contemporary appliances, this private, barefoot home for four is a 10 minute drive from Crescent Head village.

The space
The Shack is part of Crescent Moon: 100 acres of environmentally protected wilderness, hugged by river, sea and national parks. One of four houses on the property, it is a north-east facing studio-loft sleeping four.

Offering three entertaining spaces, two lounge areas and an informal office, The Shack at Crescent Moon is a place to connect with nature, each other and yourselves.

Features:

- Riverside frontage
- Beach access
- Loft king bed
- Queen day bed
- Linen sheets, towels and Sukin bath products
- Indoor bathroom, outdoor shower and laundry facilities ($10 for washing)
- Canoe, library, board games and Smart TV
- Open-plan study
- Wood-burning fire and firewood
- Communal fire-pit
- Freestanding oven, blender and stovetop espresso machine
- BBQ and compost
- Pet-friendly ($100 per pet per stay)
- 24-hour caretaker

The Shack can also accomodate two extra campers for $40 a head per night though we do not host caravans.

If you are interested in hiring the whole property, The Shack may be booked with The Longhouse and River House. We also offer camping. Please message for venue hire or wedding enquiries for 40 people or less.

Guest access
The entrance to Crescent Moon is a dirt track running through agile Melaleuca's. Once you pass the second gate and enter the clearing, the Shack is first on your left and parking is at the base of the embankment in the Pavillion (please don't drive up the hill). Wander in and make a cup of tea. You are home.

Other things to note
The Shack at Crescent Moon provides barefoot luxury. This means guests, community and land are nourished with equal care, and our impact is measured by adherence to this outlook.

Conservation is part of property's philosophy, so if you aren't drawn towards mindful use of everyday luxuries such as water, gas and garbage disposal, please politely refrain from booking with us.
