The space
Welcome to The Dwelling Nest, where it is truly our joy to host you!
Located less than two miles from just about everything (Grace College, multiple lakes, Village at Winona, Wagon Wheel, etc.), we offer a large guest suite with kitchen and bathroom in the private basement apartment of our home. (Please note that our little family and dog reside above the guest suite, so there is potential for noise. We are not a rowdy family, but if you are sensitive to sounds, please keep this in mind.)
Enter through the garage and go down a flight of stairs to the private entrance to the guest suite. A huge, comfy leather sectional beckons you to rest and relax in front of the 55" TV with streaming services. A well stocked kitchen with full size stainless steel appliances is available if you want to do your own cooking. If not, there are plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby.
A queen size bed is in a private bedroom with an egress window. The room holds an additional TV with streaming services. A high quality queen air mattress with headboard for additional guests can be set up in the sitting room wing upon request.
The brightly lit bathroom has a tub/shower combo, thick luxurious towels, and a stunning seven foot long vanity with plenty of space for all your toiletries.
Staying in? Enjoy the complimentary snack basket and coffee + tea bar. The guest suite has wifi, books, magazines, board games, foosball, a bluetooth speaker, and a dedicated workspace.

Guest access
Guests will have a separate entrance which takes them through the garage and down a flight of stairs to the private guest suite. There is a locked storage room that is not for guests.
Other things to note
•Children are welcome. However, please keep in mind that the space has not been baby-proofed or toddler-proofed, and children will need to be monitored at all times. If traveling with children, please let us know in advance, as a pack n play, highchair, and kid-friendly dishes can be arranged.
•In this area, depending on the season, it is normal to encounter an occasional bug such as flies, mosquitos, gnats, spiders, etc. There is a flyswatter in the guest unit, should you need it.
•Because the guest unit is in our lower level, you may hear us at some point. A sound machine and fan are available for white noise.
•There may be a rare occasion where we need to access something such as the electrical fuse box if there is a malfunction that needs our attention. Though unlikely, it is something I wanted to be sure to note. We will communicate with you, should anything occur.
•Any gathering with unregistered guests needs to be communicated and approved in advance.
•This is a pet free, smoke free (inside and out) guest suite.
