Neighborhood highlights

North Saanich is located at the northern tip of the Saanich Peninsula, approximately 25 km from downtown Victoria on Southern Vancouver Island.

North Saanich exists on the traditional and unceded territories of the W'SANEC (wha-san-etch) First Nations, an active and integral part of the community.

Surrounded by 40 km of ocean shoreline, the area offers several coastal parks & small beaches with an extensive trail system for hiking, cycling, & horseback riding. Agri-tourism is also vital to the area, reflected in the numerous wineries, roadside produce stands, & farmers markets.

Its proximity to the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal makes it an ideal location to explore the southern Gulf islands (Salt Spring, Mayne, Galiano, Pender) by car, by bike, or as a foot passenger.

We built this beautiful guest cottage in the Summer of 2022 after retiring from careers in architecture & the airline industry. Our Danish heritage influenced every detail & design element, creating a feeling of contentment & coziness — what Danes call "hygge". Julie & John Follow us: @thecottageatlandsend
