It really is the best location! 100m to shops, 200m to the coastal track, 250m to pristine beaches and just a 5 min drive to Torquay (or take the free bikes)

The space
Featured in The Design Files 2025 ‘10 Coastal Stays…’ Sun Set Jan Juc is the ideal beach bungalow to enjoy some solo time or a romantic getaway. Situated between Torquay and Bells Beach, Jan Juc Village is a quiet oasis with easy access to beach, shops and walking trails at your doorstep. Sun Set has its own entrance, a thoughtful layout with considered details for a comfortable stay. Each room has soaring views to the gum treetops through highlight windows so you can enjoy nature whilst eating breakfast, soaking in the ofuro hot tub or while lying in bed - our guests say it’s perfect view for stargazing too. Torquay and Bells beach are each a short 5minute drive or take the complimentary bikes and be there in 10.

Bedroom
The bedroom has a queen bed with luxury linens from inbed store, society of wanderers and 1000count cotton sheets. There is a small wardrobe with hangers, an iron and board in the wardrobe, under bed drawer storage with extra bedding and towels. It is separated from the kitchen/ lounge area with a floor to ceiling open bookshelf. Books are for your use during stay, try the short stories for a quick read. You are welcome to buy books from me if you want to finish them at home or I recommend torquay books in torquay.
We now have a projector for use with access to Netflix and you can also use with your phone if connected to the bungalow wifi.
Please let me know if you need any extra linens during your stay.
*Aircon/ heat remote is kept in the wardrobe

Kitchen
The kitchenette is equiped with an exhaust for cooking ( please use it when using stove top or air fryer) , has a double induction cooktop, microwave, air fryer (which if you haven’t used one works just like a small oven but faster) cooking implements, small bar fridge and place settings for two. Eat in at the booth seating, dining table or outside on the garden deck in the deck chairs for a relaxed mealtime.
I keep a pantry stocked with basics and you are welcome to use anything in the space.

Bathroom
* taps all turn outwards from faucet please do not turn hard off as this can break the ceramic washers.
* use cloth bathmat over or under wood duckboard and hang cloth mat to dry on rail between use or dry in dryer/ outside
The bathroom includes a
- Rain head shower
- ofuro (small Japanese style hot soaking tub
- washer/ dryer combo to get your small loads of laundry done while you are out enjoying the beach.
- hairdryer, shampoo /conditioner/ body wash/ hand soap, body moisturizer, bath salts
Quality thick cotton towels. There are also some extra towels in the drawer under the couch.

Outdoor area
Hot/ cold outdoor shower, Deck with deck chairs and small side table for drinks. A newly planted garden that is already fast becoming a lush oasis!
Your private outdoor area begins as you enter the back gate through the breezeway

Breezeway
Shared area between front gate and back gate. We store our beach gear etc here and there are two mountain bikes and a cruiser for you to ride on then trails or into Torquay and helmets. The ev charger is here too and you are welcome to use.

Jan juc is the perfect place for a quiet beach getaway or your home base when exploring the Great Ocean Road and the Otways.
