You will also enjoy a patio with table and chairs with a view of the nearby mountains
- and with nice weather you can take in beautiful sunsets.

While the suite is situated in proximity to railroad tracks, most guests find the passing trains intriguing and not bothersome. The trains move at a leisurely pace and seldom sound their horns in this area of town. As the tracks extend along the lake, train sounds can be heard throughout much of the town.

The Lamplighter is located in a quiet neighbourhood, separate from any highway or downtown noise. The occasional trains that pass by in the mornings and late afternoons are rarely a disturbance, and reviews of the guesthouse often mention its serene and peaceful ambiance.

In addition to its convenient location, the Lamplighter is also close to Cottonwood Falls and the Saturday market, as well as Gyro Park and its famous view lookout. For hikers, Elephant Mountain's Pulpit Rock lookout is also within easy reach.

My husband Michael and I love staying in Airbnbs around the world. We enjoy meeting new people and appreciate a great, comfy bed and a beautiful place to stay. We have memories of great hosts we have met from Mauritius to Paris to Zanzibar:) I love to spend lots of time decorating and upgrading details of my space. A good day for me might be painting the walls and buying new pillows or furniture, as well as connecting with people from all around. I also love cooking a delicious meal, listening to Michael play the guitar & spending time with family, friends and our new grandson. Nelson is an awesome home for us as we love the eclectic Baker St shops and restaurants. I’ve been here over 30 years. Living downtown, we walk to the movies, grab a special coffee or stroll down to the lake. Hope you love your stay and can’t wait to come again!
