Peace and quiet

This home is in a quiet area.
Stay in a custom tiny house for a mountain getaway with lofted king bed, deck, firepit, grill, electric fireplace, TV/WiFi and pastoral meadow views. Situated on a beautiful forest preserve with hiking/walking paths to explore yet close to services (3 miles), historic areas (Montpelier, Gordonsville),wineries/breweries (Stone Mountain, Montifalco, Patch, Bald Top), hiking (SNP, Preddy Creek), and venues (Lydia, Barn at Edgewood) and 15-30 miles from Charlottesville, Massanutten, and Harrisonburg

The space
Please note that we have an approval process for guests without any Airbnb reviews.

The TIny Home is situated on the lot next to our main residence and is ideal for 1-2 guests looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in the mountains at a private forest preserve call Meadow Springs (we live in the main house here!) Located away from the city and main roads, but still close enough to things to do. The forest preserve property, Meadow Springs, is located conveniently near the Shenandoah National Park mountains, outdoor activities, Virginia wine country, Civil War trails, historic places/landmarks, Massanutten Resort, and the cities of Charlottesville & Harrisonburg.

There are several spaces inside to sit down for a meal and to get cozy on the couch watching movies or sit in the loft to read a book. Use the fully equipped kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with reusable filter, and toaster to make meals. Enjoy the coffee/tea, oatmeal, and snacks we provide during your stay.

When the weather is nice enjoy the forest preserve by walking the hiking paths or just sitting on the deck enjoying the pastoral meadow and pond views with a glass of wine by the firepit. Or grill your favorite meal while eating outside on the attached deck.

Sleeping accommodations include a king size bed in one of the two lofts.

We hope you love the Tiny House @Meadow Springs and feel at home during your stay.

Guest access
Access to the Tiny House is via a gravel driveway and it sits on a two-acre lot.

The additional acres of the property are shared with the main residence and the Mountain Retreat Guesthouse (listed on Airbnb).

The driveway to the Tiny House splits just after the pond at the bottom of the Sycamore Lane. The left fork leads to the Tiny House, while the right fork leads to the Mountain Retreat Guesthouse and the main home.

The Tiny House is accessed using a coded door entry upon arrival. Parking is available directly in front of the Tiny House on the gravel driveway.

The Meadow Springs Forest Preserve property is our family’s full-time residence.

Other things to note
The bed is in the loft and accessible by narrow open stairs without an exterior railing. You will have to duck and crawl into the bed. You will not be able to stand up.

We live full-time in the main residence and use our outdoor common spaces daily. You will likely see us and our dog Molly outside during your stay.
