Extra spacious

Some info has been automatically translated.
Welcome to your home away from home! Our pet-friendly, spacious and rustic cabin is nestled in the foothills of the Western Maine Mountains, across from the Swift River. This area of Maine has so much to offer, from panning for gold in Coos Canyon, to accessing miles of ATV or snowmobile trails, to taking a short drive to popular fishing, hiking, swimming spots, skiing resorts and breathtaking views. Our cabin is the perfect place to unplug from the world, but don't worry, we still have Wi-Fi.

The space
Our Cabin is a traditional New England Log Cabin that will feel like home from the moment you arrive.
We strive on creating a beautiful space for you and your family to be able to go on adventures, but then return and relax on private 8 acres.

Guest access
The entire Cabin and yard is accessible. We have a nice, paved driveway that can accommodate vehicles, ATV's or boats and their trailers. We have a fire pit and a grilling area for guest use. There are 8 acres behind the cabin that can be explored. Please use caution and common sense due to the wildlife in the area.
The 2 outbuildings are not for guests' useage.

Other things to note
Cell Phone Service is spotty in the mountains.
We suggest buying food and/or groceries before you arrive, as the Cabin is 30 minutes or so from a Wal-Mart or Hannafords

Neighborhood highlights

Byron is a quaint, small, old logging town that is in the Western Maine Mountains. Our Cabin is on a main road, so we suggest if you bring dogs to have them leashed at all times.

Across the road is easy access to the Swift River. Depending on the season, the swift river can be used for swimming or panning for gold. A short walk from the cabin is Coos Canyon, the Rock and Gem Store, and Ice Cream shoppe and the Byron Historical Society.

Turk Trail, the start of hundreds of miles of interconnecting ATV trails, can be accessed by your ATV .3 miles from the Cabin.

Many Hikes, including Angel Falls and Devils Den, are within 30 minutes. Tumbledown Mountain, which has several different routes, is 45 minutes away.

Rangely Mountain area is a beautiful, Scenic, 25 minute drive away, and has many great restaurants and indoor and outdoor activities; including Bowling and an 18-hole golf course.

Several museums are within driving distance, including the Maine Mineral Gem Museum and the Maine Forestry Museum.

The Mountains and Lakes Region in Maine is a Fishermans Paradise. Many ponds, lakes, and rivers are stocked with Brook Trout, Brown Trout, and Rainbow Trout.

Sunday River and Black Mountain are 20-45 minutes away for great skiing and tubing.

I'm obsessed with: Dogs.
Lives in Maine, United States
I am a Mom that loves being outdoors and traveling. I foster dogs through a local rescue organization, so at any given time I could have 3 to 6 dogs at my house. I love ready, poetry, gardening and historical fiction movies.
