The space
The Main House sleeps up to 9 guests and features a variety of thoughtfully designed rooms. The master suite is a luxurious sanctuary, complete with a cozy fireplace, a deep soaking tub, a love seat, and a memory foam bed, ensuring you wake up refreshed and rejuvenated. A charming twin room on the ground floor can be converted into a king-size bed, offering flexibility for couples or friends. The upstairs area includes 2 bright, cheerful rooms with views over the Malewa River, ideal for children, with a games/TV area. A comfortable futon couch in the upstairs living area folds down into a queen-size bed, providing additional sleeping space, especially for children or a young couple.
The Basement Suite (booked separately) is a fully self-contained unit, including a full kitchen, offering additional privacy and comfort for up to 4 more guests (total of 13 if required) With a queen-size bed and a set of bunk beds, this suite is perfect for a couple with young children. Accessible via a few steps down from the side entrance of the main house, the suite also boasts its own private porch, making it a perfect retreat within a retreat.
Located next to the tranquil Malewa River, you can enjoy days filled with bike rides on scenic trails with zebra and antelope, playful moments at the river's edge, fishing, swimming, and hiking in the nearby landscapes. Birdwatching enthusiasts will be thrilled by the variety of species, while those who cherish stargazing will be captivated by the stunning, unpolluted night skies. Inside, you'll find a spacious and welcoming environment with a huge fireplace, a cozy kids' area upstairs, a collection of games for all ages, and a smart 55 inch TV for family movie nights. The gas BBQ grill and gorgeous outdoor dining area invite you to savor meals al fresco, while the expansive wrap-around veranda offers the ideal spot to unwind and take in the breathtaking views. Evenings on the deck, gathered around the fire under the stars, are truly spectacular and create the perfect setting for connection and intimacy.
The property includes a housekeeper and grounds caretaker who will be onsite daily to assist with your needs. The housekeeper can help with tidying up, washing dishes, doing laundry, and assisting with food preparation.
Although the property is entirely self-catering, a cook is available for an additional daily cost depending on your group size if you’d like some extra help with meals.
Please note that there are three dogs on the property that you might see occasionally. If you have allergies or a fear of dogs, please let us know, and we will ensure they do not bother you.
