Escape to the idyllic beauty of the Tarn et Garonne with our two beautifully renovated stone-built gites, nestled on the edge of a rolling valley and surrounded by 1.5 hectares of  private land.

Each gite features a private terrace, perfect for taking in the breathtaking view and enjoying a glass of wine as you soak up the serene surroundings. Relax by the pool, or take advantage of the many activities offered in our games room.

The space
Nestled on the edge of a sweeping valley in the heart of the countryside, Le Domaine du Chasselas comprises two gites: Le Prunier and La Grappe. Altogether we can accommodate up to 14 people including children, with 12 of the beds suitable for adults.

Le Prunier invites you to discover its warm and relaxing atmosphere. The spacious kitchen with a table that seats ten is perfect for gathering and sharing meals together. The living room, complete with a TV with Chromecast for streaming and a Bluetooth speaker, offers a cozy retreat for your entertainment needs. Both the kitchen and living room feature wood burners to keep you warm during cooler months, while the stone walls help maintain a pleasant temperature in the summer. A double bedroom on the ground floor features an en-suite bathroom.

Upstairs, you'll find a spacious twin room, a large double room, a shared bathroom and our family room. The shared bathroom has been newly renovated in 2023, providing a fresh and modern feel. The family room, which boasts a double bed, day bed, large en suite bathroom, and a table and chairs by the window, is perfect for relaxing and admiring the breathtaking views of the valley. The en suite also features a unique set of stairs that lead to an additional mezzanine bedroom nestled in the eaves of the pigeonnier - a whimsical and quirky space that's perfect for one or two kids.

Each bedroom offers stunning views of the valley that are sure to take your breath away.

La Grappe serves as a lovely supplementary annex to Le Prunier, offering additional accommodation for guests seeking more space or couples seeking a private and intimate retreat.

As you enter the air-conditioned kitchen/diner, fully equipped for four people, you'll be greeted with a beautiful view of the valley through the windows. Relax in the cozy double en-suite bedroom on the ground floor, complete with a ceiling fan and a radiator for your comfort.

Descend the staircase to the lower ground floor, which also features air conditioning and a spacious king size double bed with a large en-suite shower/WC. An external door leads out to a small patio area with a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying an early morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine at the end of the day.

Outside, the two private terraces are the perfect spot to soak up the natural beauty of the valley while enjoying a delicious meal at the dining table. With soaring eagles and graceful buzzards overhead, majestic deer grazing in the fields, and playful hares darting across the landscape, you'll feel truly immersed in the natural beauty of the south west of France.

Guest access
You have access to 1.5 hectares of land including a private 10x5m swimming pool, a large field (formerly used for camping), wildflower meadow, and a games room with ping pong, table football, pool, cards, board games, darts and more.

Other things to note
Le Prunier (the main gite) is equipped with fans and the stone walls help maintain the temperature at a comfortable level. If you find yourself visiting us during a heatwave and need some respite, in addition to taking a dip in the pool (of course), the smaller gite La Grappe has air conditioning throughout.

Neighborhood highlights

We provide a range of up-to-date tourist leaflets and our notice board in the games room is regularly updated with upcoming events and our own recommendations for days out and places to eat.

The peaceful, countryside setting provides the ideal environment to listen to the local wildlife (including our resident Scops owls) or to contemplate the thousands of stars in the clear night skies.

If getting out and about is more your cup of tea, the local area abounds with beautiful hilltop villages - Lauzerte and Auvillar are particularly recommended. The weekly food markets in Moissac and Valence d'Agen are bursting with delicious, fresh local produce - guaranteed to make your mouth water! If you prefer someone else to do the cooking, there are numerous restaurants within 30 mins drive - everything from a plate of chips to a Michelin star (and plenty in-between). In summer, most of the local villages have night markets where you can have a delicious meal and be entertained by live music.

For our more active guests there are quiet country roads for running/walking/cycling (local maps available). Or take advantage of the swimming lakes, canoeing, walking, cycling, golf and even water skiing all within a 30 minute drive. Culture, history and a lively Saturday/Sunday market can all be found in the medieval town of Moissac (15 kms) but if you crave a big city fix, Toulouse is just under an hour away.

If this all sounds too exhausting, then just spend your days chilling on your private terrace, relaxing by the pool (May - September) or having a leisurely evening game of boules as the sun sets.
