We offer luxurious accommodation in a resort-like setting on 2.5 acres. We take care of the fine details so you can simply relax and enjoy.

The gated Lavender View acreage is situated in a casual resort-like atmosphere. The suite has it's own private entrance at the front. We cater to just one couple at a time to ensure that our guests receive the very best during their stay. We provide a full service experience – just as you would expect to find at the finest of resorts. This includes options for room service of fine dinners and breakfasts, and concierge service for tours and/or restaurants.
Great care went into putting in the best of everything because we wanted it to be the type of place that we, ourselves, would choose to stay - and I know that we have very high standards.
KITCHEN
The full kitchen is stocked with brand new top quality utensils, finishings and appliances. We love to cook, so the kitchen is equipped with all of the tools that we would want for ourselves.
BEDROOM
The King size bed is dressed with premium 100% linen sheets and fluffy down duvet. This is a luxury sleep. We challenge any five star hotel to beat it!
LIVING SPACE
The interior is finished with pine shiplap and hardwood flooring. The fresh color brightly fills the space with natural light. The whole suite is equipped with it’s own ducted heat pump for air conditioning and heat. The floor vents throughout the suite allow for a silent, unobtrusive system that evenly heats/cools for maximum comfort.
BATHROOM
The luxurious bathroom has a custom tiled/glass double shower, a quartz top vanity, fluffy towels and a heated floor for additional comfort.
NEARBY ACTIVITIES
We are located within minutes to an almost endless list of activities in the area – a few minutes drive or walk to the public beaches of Shawnigan Lake, a few minutes to the salt water of Cowichan Bay, a few minutes to the Koksilah River and the famous Kinsol Trestle. We have restaurants galore and all the amenities you could ever desire.
Guest access
Guests have the exclusive use of the sauna and hot tub during their stay. The hot tub and sauna are located in the back area of the acreage, but you will have them all to yourself. Both are completely private from the neighbors. Both the hot tub and sauna are C.O.
SAUNA
The wood fired cedar sauna was hand crafted from the ground up, starting with the lumber that came from trees felled on our own property. The sauna is completely off the grid. It is heated by a wood stove, lit up by solar energy and the shower water comes from collected rain water (treated). The rain water that flows from the conch shell shower head is heated with a hot water on demand system.
** The sauna may not available during the fire ban season of the dry summer months due to the risk of wildfire. Similarly, the outdoor shower is not available during any low freezing temperatures in the winter due to freezing pipes. **
HOT TUB
The SALTWATER hot tub is also unique and constructed with an artful eye. The surrounding structure and deck were primarily built with lumber harvested from our own property. The custom milled posts retain the natural beauty of the tree and bark. The view from the hot tub gives you the feeling of relaxing in a tree house. The ceiling above was purposely built with extra height to provide the feeling of open space and a view of the stars.
TRAILS
The Lavender View property backs onto an extensive trail network. The trails start as you cross the floating bridge over our pond. Walk for minutes or hours.
Other things to note
**SMOKING**
Please note that Lavender View is strictly for NON-SMOKERS/VAPERS. This is more than just “no-smoking”. Thank you for your understanding.
PETS: We have our own pets and therefore cannot have a wide open policy to allow guests to bring their pet(s). However, we appreciate the need for pet-friendly accommodation because we frequently need to travel with our own. So, if you have a well behaved adult dog, please message us to initiate a conversation about the possibility of bringing your dog. We will assess this on a case by case basis. Thank you for your understanding.
Service assistance dogs with certification from an accredited agency are always welcome at any time.
