Escape to the Happy Fox Cabin in Rhododendron, Oregon at the base of Mt Hood in PNW! Near Government Camp and only 45 minutes from Portland airport. A fully equipped cabin with high end amenities. Unwind outside to the sounds of a running creek, soak in the hot tub under the stars, or gather around the fire pit. Hike or bike on hundreds of nearby trails, ski at Timberline, Skibowl or Meadows or paddleboard and kayak at Trillium Lake. Plenty of amazing local restaurants and conveniences!

The space
The Happy Fox Cabin is nestled in the serene woods of Rhododendron at the base of majestic Mount Hood. Listen to the soothing melody of the creek adjacent to the backyard as you unwind in this cozy retreat under towering Douglas fir trees.

Our comfortable cabin offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. Relax in the private hot tub under the starlit sky, gather around the fire pit for s'mores and stories, or cozy up by the gas stove indoors after a long day of outdoor adventures.

Large windows help you feel as though you're still among the trees. The furnishings include a sectional and reclined wooden chairs.

In the loft, there's another TV, perfect if you have kids in tow who like to watch their own cartoons!

The fully-fenced yard, surrounded by old growth evergreens, offers an outdoor fire pit (seasonal and fire ban dependent). Your pups will be safe in this space, but there's always risk of escape if they so desire - so please keep an eye on them at all times!

Plus, with an electric car charger on the property, eco-conscious travelers can recharge both themselves and their vehicles.

At the Happy Fox Cabin, the entire property is yours to enjoy with total privacy, no shared spaces. The cabin is surrounded by dense tree cover to help you feel secluded.

Other things to note
The Happy Fox Cabin has a few steps to the front and back doors and steps/stairs inside as well. We believe the place is safe for kiddos using our baby gates. The property is surrounded by a fence with a gate leading out to the creek behind the property. The gate does not have a lock on it, so constant supervision of children is required to ensure safety. Also, while we have the fence, our pups can always find a way to escape if they're committed enough, please don't leave your pups outside unattended for long periods of time. We want everyone to have an enjoyable stay at the Happy Fox Cabin, safety is our top priority.

Brightwood is a quaint neighborhood tucked off the main highway through Rhododendron. The Happy Fox Cabin is off East Barlow Trail, where you can enjoy less road noise back here and a much more relaxed experience. Up the road, you'll find a cute waterfall, or take a longer walk to the Sandy River. You can always stay close by and enjoy the soothing creek sounds from our back patio.
