Just steps from 5 ⭐ restaurants•shops•cafés•bakeries•galleries•Whole Foods•Trader Joe's•Erewhon. Ride the metro to SM beach or LA. Walk to downtown CC, and explore many nearby fitness options incl. pilates•yoga•tennis•pickleball•hiking trails•bike lanes•climbing gym. The Nest is a warm•inviting urban retreat!

The space
The Nest is a 2nd floor studio apartment located behind our house. You have a Queen-sized bed with two charging station bedside tables, a 6' sofa bed facing a flat screen television with a bluetooth soundbar, a full kitchen including a stove, oven, refrigerator (no dishwasher) and a table which can be used as additional counter space, a dining table and a workstation. There are 5 windows and a glass door all with shades, so it is a very light-filled space. The bathroom includes a tiled shower and well-lit mirrored medicine cabinet.

*Best for a couple, or a couple with a small child.

Please Note: Absolutely no smoking and no pets allowed. We reserve the right to charge you a $500 fine for smoking or bringing pets onto our property. Thanks for helping to keep The Nest a clean, allergy-free zone.

Guest access
Guests can park in the driveway on Monday afternoons through Wednesday afternoons, as there is restricted parking on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (more about that in the House Manual). At other times we need to park in the driveway to keep our car charged. Parking on the street is close, easy and free, and we will leave you the big red pass.

Other things to note
1- Absolutely no smoking and no pets allowed. We reserve the right to charge you a $500 fine for smoking or bringing pets onto our property. Thanks for helping to keep The Nest a clean, allergy-free zone.

2- We have a music jam on our front lawn on Thursday evenings 6-9 pm, but we are not near your apartment. Please let us know if you think it would disturb you or if you would like us to turn the sound down. You are very welcome to join us if you would like - we can provide chairs! Guests often mention that they loved being part of our jam, but if you think it might be a problem for you, let us know! We are flexible :)

3- Let us know if you would like any of these items while staying in The Nest:
-Exercise equipment: Free weights (2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12 lbs), exercise bands, yoga mat, pilates toning ring.
- Piano keyboard with stool.
- Iron and small ironing board
- Games
- Books (there are several in The Nest at all times)
- Rackets for Tennis or Pickleball (there are 2 pickleball courts and 1 tennis court in the park at the end of our street)
- Beach towels

We will have these items there for you if you let us know ahead of time!

Gaili is a jazz pianist and piano teacher living in Culver City. Michael is a singer/songwriter and retired special ed music teacher. We have 2 daughters ages 31 and 33 and their partners who sometimes travel with us. Our family is neat and quiet and we appreciate good music, art and food. When we travel we enjoy walking, biking and hiking in cities as well as in nature. We are all healthy non-smokers, warm and respectful.
