If you are looking for something unique, authentic and off the beaten path where you can truly appreciate Costa Rica's incredible natural beauty, this is your place! Manuel Antonio is only 35 minutes away for all things touristy but this will be your refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle. Private waterfall onsite and our glamping tents feature very comfortable beds and linens, electricity, ceiling fans, wireless internet, and each tent has a private bathroom with hot water shower.

The space
𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 3𝟱𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀!

We offer memorable experiences in luxury safari-style tents. If you are looking for “off the beaten path" and to immerse yourself in nature, this is it!

Our ecolodge is surrounded by the rainforest and overlooks the Naranjo River, making it the perfect place for your peaceful escape. Enjoy spectacular views, communal kitchen and dining areas, an on-site waterfall, excellent birding, nature hikes, spacious open-air yoga platform, a newly built fire pit, and a total disconnect from the noise of the world.

Families LOVE our space because it's so immersed in nature and the kids can play outside, enjoy the wildlife (especially when the monkeys visit)and plunge in the waterfall. During summer months, Dec-April the river has several blue pools to swim in!

This is more than just a unique accommodation; it’s an immersion into tranquility, a sacred place where time slows down, and your soul will find its natural rhythm.

Please take a moment to review the treasure trove of guest feedback, where each testimonial serves as a testament to the enchanting and unforgettable vacations experienced by travelers from around the world at Chorro Ecolodge.

Guest access
All overnight guests have access and full use of our fully equipped kitchen and dining areas. You can practice yoga on our raised teak platform, or use the space for birdwatching, reading, or relaxing in our swinging chairs looking at the river below.

Only steps from each tent, you also won't be able to deny yourself a refreshing dip in the Naranjo River which runs through the property, and then get your free nature massage under our majestic waterfall.

In the evenings, gather around the fire pit under the starry sky and reflect on the day's magic.

Other things to note
Bring food to prepare your meals in the fully equipped kitchen, or for a unique cultural experience, walk to our friendly neighbor’s house for authentic Costa Rican food cooked over her wood-burning stove. Her food is amazing and our guests just love eating in her rustic kitchen and practicing Spanish with her family.

If you are looking for adventure, we can help you plan the area's best activities during your stay, including: white water rafting with pickup right at the lodge, private yoga classes, chocolate-making workshops, zip lining, fishing, hanging bridges and much more! We have lived in this area for over 20 years and know who provides the best experiences.

If you want to visit the National Park it is highly recommended to buy your entrances in advance through their website. If you would like for us to set you up with a fantastic local guide, please let us know and we can help you arrange that.

We occasionally host private groups for yoga classes and Chocolate workshops that will usually visit between 9-10:30am. We will let you know if this is the case during your stay.

At Chorro Ecolodge, we believe that every detail matters – from the intentionally placed rocks sourced from the river which we used for building our trails and platforms, to our commitment to sustainability with all furniture around the lodge crafted from recycled pallets. We love this planet and want to protect it!

Kind Note: Cell service can be spotty in the middle of the rainforest. Internet is usually stable. We encourage you to take care of business before you arrive so that you can enjoy every moment of your time with us.

Where you’ll be

Naranjito, Puntarenas, Costa Rica

The town of Esquipulas is located 25 minutes from Manuel Antonio into the rainforested mountains alongside the Naranjo River. The river and waterfall are just a few minutes walk down a trail from your tent. Esquipulas has just a few local families and is very quiet and safe. Mostly you will hear the birds singing and the sounds of the river flowing by.
