The space
As soon as you step into Chalet Lagunak, you’ll be welcomed by a warm atmosphere where rustic wood and contemporary touches come together to create a true cozy retreat. The living room is perfect for relaxing evenings, featuring a 51-inch TV where you can connect your Netflix, Crave, or Disney+ accounts. A selection of board games and books is also available for quality moments with loved ones.

The kitchen includes everything you need: a coffee machine, Keurig, kettle, toaster, and all necessary cookware—perfect for preparing a hearty brunch, enjoying a drink on the terrace, or sharing a friendly dinner indoors. And for barbecue lovers: a grill awaits you outside!

The chalet features two cozy bedrooms with Queen beds, plus an open mezzanine with an additional Queen bed and a hammock for napping or reading. A crib with mattress and bedding is available upon request for the little ones.

A large shower, soft towels, toiletries, washer and dryer—everything is provided to make your stay easy and pleasant, even after a full day of outdoor activities.
🌳 A vast and refreshing outdoor space
The terrace is the ideal spot for outdoor meals or quiet reading while taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding nature. In the evening, gather around the firepit for magical moments under the stars. The spacious 4-hectare forested lot is perfect for letting kids or pets roam freely—or simply to reconnect with nature.

Nearby, enjoy scenic hikes, explore the Mastigouche Reserve, picnic by the rivers, or spot local wildlife like white-tailed deer, foxes, and birds. Nature is always close at hand!

🚸 Babies & Children:
We’re happy to welcome families with babies and children! However, please note that the chalet is not fully babyproofed — there are no stair gates or outlet covers, for example.

We provide baby-specific equipment such as a high chair, convertible crib/playpen with sheets, toys, and books.
🪵 Firewood:
A small starter amount of firewood is provided (see photo in the listing). This includes kindling and fire starters for easy lighting.
You can purchase two additional bundles (kindling and fire starters included) — ideal for a weekend stay.
If you’d like more, please order at least one week before arrival so we can prepare it near the chalet. This is highly recommended for stays longer than 3 nights.
You may also purchase firewood in Mandeville or St-Gabriel, but you’ll get less for a higher price — and don’t forget to buy kindling and fire starters too, which adds cost and time.

🐶 Pets
Up to 2 pets allowed.
Waste bags are provided in case you forget yours.
Pets are not allowed on the mezzanine to prevent them from accessing beds and are not permitted on the ground floor sofa.
Please bring their own bed, as we do not provide one.
Two food/water bowls are available.
Any violation of indoor/outdoor pet rules may result in extra charges in addition to the pet fee (see House Rules).
🤧 Allergies:
If you’re allergic to pets, note that animals may occasionally stay in the chalet. You book with this awareness. That said, we do our best to thoroughly clean and reduce allergens between stays.
❄️ Air Conditioning:
A portable A/C unit is available upstairs from June to September in case of a heatwave. Otherwise, the classic nature-approved method works wonders 👇
The chalet is nestled in peaceful mature forest, offering naturally cooler nights. We recommend opening the windows (with screens in place) to create a mountain breeze that will refresh the chalet overnight.
🧑🧑🧒🧒 Extra Guests:
No additional guests are allowed. The base price covers up to six people. Camping is not permitted.
🪣 🧹 Cleaning:
The space must be left as clean as it was upon arrival. We’ll handle laundry, but extra cleaning fees may apply if the chalet is left in poor condition.
