The space
Welcome to Bobolink Lakeside Bungalow, your cozy lake escape! This renovated 2-bedroom bungalow blends chic charm with thoughtful amenities—perfect for relaxing in any season. Start your morning with coffee on the front porch rocking chairs while taking in peaceful views of Copake Lake. Spend your day swimming, hiking, boating, or exploring the local towns. In the evening, unwind with a glass of wine by the firepit—or soak in the brand-new hot tub, installed September 2025!
Inside, the home features an open living area with a wood-burning fire stove, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining nook for shared meals. The front room is ideal for lounging with a good book or board game, while the back deck offers lake views, lounge seating, and a grill for summer BBQs. The home is equipped with three AC units (one in each bedroom and one in the living room) and heating throughout. There’s also a full bathroom with a standing shower.

Outside, enjoy the hammock, firepit with Adirondack chairs, spacious yard, rocking chairs, and two fenced sides for added privacy. We have 2 stand-up paddle boards available for guests. The property is walkable to two nearby marinas, where you can rent kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, or pontoon boats for the day. We also provide fishing rods for your use (just grab bait locally!).
You’re just a few minutes from Copake Lake Golf Club & The Greens restaurant, and a short drive to local trails, orchards, farm stands, ski areas, and scenic towns. Grocery stores and other essentials are easily accessible nearby, including Hillsdale, Hudson, and Great Barrington.

⦁ Winter: Head to Catamount Mountain (less than 15 minutes away) for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing (buy tickets ahead). When Copake Lake freezes, enjoy ice skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing — then warm up with a cozy fire inside.
⦁ Spring: A peaceful, scenic time ideal for families. Enjoy hiking, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing, or explore local farms and markets. Mickey’s Marina begins gearing up for the season and offers convenient lake access and simple rentals. Copake Lake Golf Club opens for spring golf with beautiful views.
⦁ Summer: Peak lake season — swim, paddleboard, kayak, boat, and fish just steps from the house. Rent pontoon boats, kayaks, or enjoy live music and sunset drinks at Copake Lake Boat & Ski (open Memorial Day–Labor Day, with Food Truck Fridays). Mickey’s Marina also offers additional rentals, lake access, and a casual bar & grill right on the water. Evenings are perfect for grilling, yard games, and gathering around the firepit.
⦁ Autumn: A beautiful, relaxed time for groups. Enjoy leaf-peeping, apple picking, hiking Bash Bish Falls, and biking the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. Bike rentals are available at Bash Bish Bicycle.

⦁ Stairs: The home has two levels with bedrooms on both floors, along with stairs to the deck and yard.
⦁ Wildlife: The area is surrounded by nature, so deer, turkeys, and other wildlife may wander through. Please keep food sealed and doors closed.
⦁ Winter travel: AWD/4WD is recommended in snowy or icy weather.
