A beautiful off-grid escape featuring a cozy queen bed, a well-appointed kitchenette, and a hot water outdoor shower with a view. Spend your days hiking to up to huge hilltop views or strolling down to the bubbling creek. In the evenings climb on up to the rumble seat where you can dine, drink wine, watch for curious deer and stargaze to the cricket song.

Calling all off-grid adventurers! Nestled on 50 acres near Mississippi Station, our prairie schooner-style Covered Wagon is your base for a true escape. Hike trails through woods, up hilltops, or along a bubbling creek, spotting deer, turkeys, and grouse. Forage amidst vibrant flora and fauna. Steps from the K&P Trail for ATV and biking thrills, with lakes and crown land nearby. Local stores, restaurants, and breweries are a short drive away. No Wi-Fi or cell service—hike to the hilltop to connect. Disconnect, unwind, recharge in nature’s embrace.

Experience off-grid living in our cozy, rustic-modern Covered Wagon, styled like a prairie schooner. Powered by a solar battery pack, it features a queen bed, a foldable twin mattress (tucked behind a pull-out bookcase under the dining table), and a foot-pump sink. Cook on a 2-burner gas stove (no fridge—bring a cooler). Enjoy board games, books, and cards for unplugged fun. Dine outdoors on the rumble seat or at the pull-out table with benches. After your adventures, refresh in the solar-powered outdoor shower with hot water on demand—a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort.

Our guests can enjoy access to our entire 50 acre property. Over 2 km of marked trails will take you from the banks of a bubbling creek to the hilltops with views for miles. You'll be staying on the edge of an 8 acre meadow that offers a chance to relax and take in what nature can offer. Spot deer, wild turkey, grouse, fox, and rabbits doing their thing while you sip your favorite beverage.
