This private group campsite includes a 12 x 32 ft air conditioned and heated camping cabin with 3 1/2 creekside acres at the far end of Buffalo Gap Camp.
The space
A gorgeous creek runs adjacent to this large private group campsite with 12x32 cabin and it is located at the far end of camp for peace and quiet with full access to all Buffalo Gap Retreat amenities. Those amenities include bathrooms (a short walk), hot showers (shower house at the center of camp), and firewood bundles for sale at the office. Kayak, Canoe, wood fired sauna (by appointment for a small fee), corn-hole, hiking trails, lakeview dining hall gathering place, wi-fi at the dining hall, beach, volleyball are among some of the many amenities at Buffalo Gap Retreat in Capon Bridge, WV.
Includes camping in the grassy field in front of the cabin. The site also a central bon-fire pit near the cabin.
• Amenities at Buffalo Gap include a private lake with white sand beach, 0.7 acre fenced-in dog park, swimming, catch-and-release fishing, spa (massages & cosmetology available for a fee), lakefront wood-fired sauna (fee), on-site hiking trails, volleyball, basketball courts, complementary use of kayaks and canoes, and various lawn games.
• Firewood is located outside of the office cottage and is sold by the bundle. Please deposit payment at the black drop box on the left side of the office cottage porch.
• When not privately rented, the Beach House offers games such as ping-pong, pool, and cornhole for guest use.
• Buffalo Gap is a pet-friendly destination; the pet-fee is $20 for up to two pets per cabin.
• Wi-fi is available at the Lakeview Dining Hall, but is not accessible from the cabins.

--> This site has a 12 x 32 foot fully electric kitchen and sleep cabin. Kitchenette is well stocked, and upper lofts sleep 6 in a combination of 6 twin beds and pull out queen size sofa bed sleeps 2 more. Total up to 8 inside -- rest outside in tents in the grassy field in front of the cabin.
--> This kitchen cabin has full electricity with lots of outlets, lights, kitchen appliances, refrigerator / freezer, 2 burner cook-top stove, griddle, electric coffee pot, toaster oven, microwave oven and more.
--> We also have water and a dish washing station outside the cabin with large basins and supplies for dish washing included.
--> Bring your own sheets, blankets, comforters, pillows and towels. 6 twin beds in the lofts above, an a queen sofa bed on the ground level.
--> The site has outdoor furniture, picnic tables, and portable chairs, and a large central bon-fire pit.
--> you may wish to bring fire starters to make starting a fire easier.
--> Brick and mortar bathrooms and hot showers are located to the left of the dining hall as well as brick and mortar bathrooms near the gym.
--> Quiet Hours are from 10pm til 8am -- please respect our neighbors around camp.
--> We now have wi-fi at the Lakeview Dining Hall for all to use. Wi-fi network and passcode are posted on the front door.
--> All dogs must be registered at the office ($10 fee) and on leash and under owner control at all times.
--> Firewood is located outside of the office cottage and is sold by the bundle. Please deposit payment at the black drop box on the left side of the office cottage porch.
--> You may wish to bring beach chairs or firepit chairs and marshmallow - hot dog skewers.
--> Our on-site staff caretaker is Sean is located in the office located in the red building near the upper pond -- labeled "Office". Knock hard / ring bell if you need something or call/text.
Guest access
• Front entrance gate is always open.
• Door code will be sent prior to your arrival.
• Parking is at the cabin. Access is via the cul-de-sac at the far end of camp past the red dumpster and past the gym.
Other things to note
• This is a quiet area of the camp. We would ask for extra care in keeping noise to a minimum at all times.
• On-site manager generally available (in-person, phone, or message) to handle any questions or needs.
• The sauna or laundry room may be booked for a fee, on a first-come-first-served basis, at the Office Cottage.
