At approximately 5200 feet above sea level, the Lake Atitlan area enjoys year-round spring-like weather (70s to low 80s during the day and 60s at night). Although temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the year the weather is marked by two distinctive seasons: the rainy season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April). During the rainy season the mountains and volcanoes surrounding the lake are verdant green. The mornings are generally crystal clear, while the afternoons bring spectacular showers that are a sight to behold as they roll in over the lake. During the dry season it is rare to receive any precipitation at all. La Casa Colibri has five luxurious guest rooms each with en-suite bath. Four rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the lake. Two rooms have deep soak tubs with separate showers.

Cozy and relaxing with view of Lake Atitlan

Our cozy cottage features sleeping accommodations for 8 people with 2 full bathrooms, all situated in the private Yacht Club, which is a gated community. There are beautiful gardens to stroll through during your stay. The decor is very bright with lots of natural light and lots of areas to relax indoors or out. We live in the USA, but we do have a gardener/care taker on site to assist in any way during your stay and is available most days. The guards at the entrance can also assist.

Set in a coffee farm by a unique wetland area, this home is about twenty minutes away from Antigua. Still, it feels a world away. You'll spend peaceful days in the lush gardens and walk to the Mayan towns of San Antonio and Santa Catarina Barahona. Should you like, you can also get to know the kids who visit the "Caldo de Piedra" library next door. (Proceeds go to support it.) Pickup and drop-off is in Antigua is provided free of charge. Beautiful apt. , 2 queen size beds, kitchenette and breakfast bar. The kitchenette has a microwave, small two burner ceramic cooktop, refrig., toaster and coffee maker. Unbelievable, hypnotic view on top floor just below hotel owners penthouse. Unit is in the Riviera Atitlan Hotel but privately owned. You have access to the parking, restaurant, swimming pool, beach, dock and grounds. The jacuzzi next to the pool included. Pets of any kind are not allowed by the hotel.
